Dear TrapFree New Mexico Friend,

If you haven’t heard, Roxy’s Law (SB 32) passed the House of Representatives last week and is headed to Governor Lujan Grisham’s desk! The vote was very tight and every step of the way has been incredibly dramatic. That the bill has gotten this far is truly because of all the work that you, your friends, family, and neighbors have done. We are immensely grateful.

We now need to ensure that the governor signs this landmark legislation into law and makes public lands across New Mexico safer and more humane for people, pets, and native wildlife.

Please send Governor Lujan Grisham a personalized note asking her to sign Senate Bill 32. Be polite and respectful as always and PLEASE focus on the positive future this bill ushers in, especially in terms of healthy wildlife populations, public safety, and outdoor recreation (rather than focusing on the negative or demonizing trappers).

ROXY’S LAW IS JUST ONE SIGNATURE AWAY FROM BECOMING LAW

Thank you – we are so close! But if the Governor doesn’t sign Roxy’s law, we have to start over again, which is unthinkable after coming so far and getting so close. Please take a few minutes now to make sure that doesn’t happen!
